When buying replacement windows, you’ll hear many companies tell you to focus not only on style, but also on other things that come with your purchase. This often includes a warranty. Products with lifetime warranties often seem like good deals, but be sure to do your homework. Before deciding on anything, it helps to understand what is covered and for how long.

Here are some things you need to know about warranties when buying replacement windows in Cincinnati:

Coverage
Lifetime warranties cover the windows throughout their life cycle. Typically, they don’t include labor and other costs you may incur. For many vinyl windows, the lifetime may be as short as 3 years. It should also be noted that many vinyl window warranties do not cover screens, installation, caulking, windstorms, earthquakes, or wind-borne objects.

At Renewal by Andersen®, we want you to have peace of mind with your new windows. Our products come with a fully transferrable limited warranty. You won’t have to worry about additional expenses as it covers original installation services, labor, and parts. We even cover the screens!

Warranty Period
Renewal by Andersen has you covered, from glass to frame to labor. You’ll receive a 20-year limited warranty on glass, a 10-year limited warranty on your frames and hardware, and a 2-year limited warranty on installation. Don’t be fooled by the lifetime warranties: get a warranty you can trust from the window brand you trust.

● Installation. When installed by Andersen Factory Certified professionals like our team, your window will be covered for two years. If problems occur within the covered period because of improper original installation, we’ll fix the issue free of charge.

● Frame and Hardware. The sash and frame of your window replacement in Cincinnati are made of Fibrex®, a proprietary composite material. For 10 years from the installation date, you can be confident that the Fibrex components will not blister, crack, corrode, flake, peel, warp, discolor, rot, or rust. Additionally, non-Fibrex and nonglass parts are also warranted to be free from issues and defects for a decade.

● Glass. Under normal conditions, our insulating glass will be free from defects for 20 years. You can be confident that you’ll enjoy a clear view from the glass for a long time. For at least two decades, our glass will not develop any obstructions because of premature failure of the seal or glass and the manufacturing process.

Get the best value for your money by choosing high-quality replacement windows with one of the industry’s best warranties. We want you to love your new windows! We also want you to enjoy peace of mind knowing that you are covered by one of the best warranties in Cincinnati window replacement.
