Here’s everything you need to know about Renewal by Andersen’s window warranties.
Renewal by Andersen windows are built with Fibrex frames, sashes and exterior grilles. Fibrex is an innovative composite material that’s warranted to not flake, rust, peel, blister, crack, pit or corrode for a period of 20 years. It’s also warranted to be free of manufacturing, material and workmanship defects for the same amount of time.
Should your window’s Fibrex material components fail due to manufacturing or workmanship defects before the 20 years are up, Renewal by Andersen will repair or replace the defective components. These replacement parts will then be warranted for the remainder of the warranty period.
Renewal by Andersen is a window replacement company that prides itself on providing color finishes that last for a long time. As such, we offer a transferable limited warranty on the window’s exterior color finish. With this, the color finish of your Fibrex material’s exterior components is warranted to be free of manufacturing defects that result in color fade for a period of 10 years from the window’s installation date. Note that this warranty doesn’t cover the weatherstripping, accessories or hardware.
If a defect in the exterior color finish is detected by a professional, Renewal by Andersen will either refinish or repair or replace the product to bring it to top form. The replacement parts will then be warranted for the remainder of the original limited warranty period.
The glass components of Renewal by Andersen’s windows are warranted to be free of defects in manufacturing, materials and workmanship for a period of 20 years from the original installation date. The glass is also warranted to not develop any material changes in appearance that result in premature failure under normal conditions for 20 years from the installation date. However, this doesn’t apply to special-order glazings, art glass, insulated art glass or impact-resistant glass. If you have any questions about what is covered in the warranty, don’t hesitate to ask your window contractor.
If glass failure occurs during the warranty period due to a defect in manufacturing, materials or workmanship, Renewal by Andersen will provide and install the appropriate replacement or provide a factory-authorized repair to the existing glass. The replacement product will be warranted for the remainder of the original limited warranty period.
Renewal by Andersen also offers a limited warranty for the installation of their windows. This is because the installation of a Renewal by Andersen replacement window is warranted for two years from the product’s original installation date. During this time, should your window fail due to workmanship issues, Renewal by Andersen will bring the workmanship up to professional standards at no cost to you.
This limited warranty doesn’t extend to labor/service performed by anyone who isn’t the original authorized installer or any other authorized Renewal by Andersen contractor. That’s why it’s critical to entrust your window installation and any repairs or maintenance in the future to a Renewal by Andersen professional.
